About Brightside Players

Welcome to the Brightside.

Every year we take over the FirstOntario Centre for the Arts in Milton and turn it into the most gloriously chaotic place in the entire region.

We put on a traditional British pantomime, and if you've never been to a panto before, buckle up. Panto is loud, silly, interactive theatre where the audience is every bit as much a part of the show as the cast. You'll boo the villains, cheer the heroes, shout warnings at characters who absolutely cannot hear you, and leave with your voice slightly hoarse and your face hurting from laughing. It is theatre that grabs you by the hand, pulls you out of your seat, and refuses to let you be a bystander. With something to delight everyone from ages 5 to 55, panto is a night out the whole family can get behind. Literally. IT'S BEHIND YOU!

We are a community theatre, built by the people of Milton, for the people of Milton. Our cast, our crew, our volunteers... they are your neighbours, your kids' teachers, the person you see at the grocery store on a Saturday morning. If we're being honest, the thing that drives us most isn't the applause, or the laughs, or even the standing ovations. It's watching someone discover what they're capable of. The first-timer who didn't know they could sing. The shy kid who found their voice in front of a full house. The adult who always wondered and finally gave it a go. Watching people grow in theatre is, without question, our greatest act.

That's why we do this.

We'll see you in the theatre. Don't forget to boo the villain.

We have a feeling they'll deserve it.
